Will gets Gifts!

Living with a new baby is very similar to being the not quite so cool member of a popular band. Boy, does Will get a lot of fan mail. . . and gifts. We're going to have to hire him an agent to handle all of it.

One Week Old!

Today was the first bath of Will. He took it very well. It is also his first week birthday! Woo hoo!

Just a happy mommy side note - he slept for FOUR hours this afternoon. Seriously.
Then he ate like a champ. Although that doesn't surprise me. He's Mike's son for certain.

The New Arrival!

Well, as it turns out, all the preparation of last week was really FOR something - namely the arrival of William Jackson Knotts! We are pleased to announce that he arrived February 18th at 4:29pm and since then has completely won our hearts, stolen every show with his cuteness, and in general turned our lives so happily upside down!

Pedicure Madness

This is for all my pregnant friends out there:

When attempting to give yourself a pedicure in your third trimester please follow these simple rules:
1) Make sure to supply yourself with ample time - i.e. ten minutes per toenail.
2) Stretch first.
2b) Make certain you are alone. This will be an embarrassing display not suitable to any audience, young or old.
3) Stretch again, and be sure that your yoga skills are honed and ready.
4) Collect all supplies BEFORE you start, thus eliminating the need to curl yourself out of said yoga pose and off the floor in order to obtain, say, the nail polish.
5) Readjust the time necessary to complete the project as you discover that the time needed is directly proportional to your ability to throw your foot behind your head and around your neck in a bid to see your pinky toenail at all.
6) When painting with nail polish "blind" remember that if you can feel the brush, you are probably painting skin.
7) Don't worry, polish on skin is easily removed by kind husbands at a later date.
and 8) Remember this isn't meant to be relaxing. This is exercise. It will burn, it will pain you, and it will be uncomfortable. But take heart, the project can't last forever, and in reality, since you can't see your toes anyway, who cares what they look like in the end!

Pictures from February 13th, 2007

Didn't realize I was quite so big until Michael took these pictures tonight! The shark is Michael's favorite stuffed toy for the baby. :)

37 Weeks, 4 Days

Update, update! I just got back from the doctor's this afternoon. . . and I'm now 70% effaced, .5 centimeters dilated, and -2 station! What that means (according to the doctor) is that most likely we'll be having this baby within a week or two! Woo hoo! We're so completely excited and I honestly can't wait to have this baby with us, see his/her face and love up on it 24/7. (Remind me of that when the sleep deprivation sets in, okay?)
So. . . keep watching, maybe there will be more info soon! ;)
