"I Hanging Out Sissy."

Will wanted to hold Sissy. He also likes "hanging out" a great deal.

A Bit of Sissy.

Hey all, know it's been a while since I posted any pictures or stories, so here's a bit of Sissy recently. She's been sweet, although just yesterday I had to teach her not to touch the outlets. She didn't like being told "no" at all. It wasn't quite as huge a fight as with Will in the early days, but I think she might just have a will of her own! :) Not like we don't all have that same stubborn streak, right? She looked at me like "Are you sure I can't touch that?" "Yes, I'm sure!" "Even if I'm super persistent AND cute at the same time?" "Yup, yup, it's still not safe - you should hear about what I told Will with the Die-Die-Die Christmas tree, girl!"

Her talents? She army crawls everywhere, and when that doesn't work, she'll roll or roll to her back and scoot by kicking her legs furiously. It's why the bald spot on the back of her head hasn't gone away. She signs "All done." She waves "Hi" and "Bye." She gives kisses. (Granted they are very wet, but oh so heart-felt!) She pats me on the shoulder when I say "I love you honey!" (Because that's what I do to her when I tell her I love her.) And her famous call and response is me saying "Mama, Mama!" and she says "DA DA, DA DA!" :)

What he's been saying!

So, William is in the midst of a huge language explosion. I've had countless hilarious conversations with him, and it's been awesome getting to hear what's in his head. Some of my favorites follow.

Me: "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!"
Will: "No, eat FOOD Mommy!"
Good one.

Will: "Body Slam Please Daddy!"
Mike: "Are you sure?"
Will: "Yes"
Mike: "Are you positive?"
Will: "I positive."
Body slam follows.

Will: "Plane outside!"
Me: "Yeah, there's a plane outside!"
Will: "Yeah, going, going, faster, faster."
Me: "Yeah, where's it going?"
Will: "Ashley's house." (As if any plane in its right mind would go to Ashley's house.)

It's been wonderful getting to be more a part of Will's world - seeing what he thinks and wants to communicate about. It makes me excited to know him more and more as the years go by.

Sissy uses the highchair!

We got this highchair for William, and now, Sissy is big enough for it!
