Brag, brag, brag

Tonight Mike was reading a book to William which had a large "V" in the bottom corner, and Will pointed to it, and then to another "v" on the page. Mike was so impressed he stopped putting Will down for bed, brought him out here to tell me what he had done (and Will repeated it three or four more times with different letters). Will looked so impressed with himself.

All this comes after a friend told me about starfall.com which helps preschoolers learn ABCs. We had done it for like an hour yesterday, and Will loved it - apparently he learned to match letters! Woo hoo!

On Bedrest

So, I got put on bed-rest, and this is the stock picture of what I do now. I sit around on the couch, Will sits with me (what a good boy), and sometimes, if I'm lucky I fold laundry. :) BUT, I do get LOTS of kisses from Will - who is apparently convinced that I need them. And, when he wants me in a different room, he grabs pillows for me, setting them up, and then gesturing to where I should lie down. It's really quite sweet.

Today's Sentence

I swear to goodness William is talking and talking and talking today - and guess what he says (we're going to get Mike this evening from the airport)?

"My Mama car go Dada."

Seriously. Very cool.

Haircuts and Using Forks

We buzzed William's hair last night, and now we've woken to a little 1950's boy. He's super cute, but looks so stinking old that I think I might cry every time I look at him! Where oh where did my sweet baby go? This is a real boy now!

Sicky Couch

Will had a little fever and teething trouble. That takes a lot out of a kid. But look how huge he is having fallen asleep on the couch for the first time in his life!

Our Anniversary

Mike and I had our first night away in a year and a half for our third year anniversary - THANK YOU JOYCE! - stayed at the Marriott in Pasadena, ate out, went to a museum. . . ate out again. It was marvelous.

Baby Hat

William found his baby hat, and insisted on wearing it around the backyard. It looked quite a bit silly, but he didn't think so. . . or maybe he did and that's why he was wearing it!
