Up your nose.

Will climbed into Betsy's crib this afternoon after her nap. He was being so sweet, and kissed her on her nose. She wiped it off. He said "oh, no, Sissy, that's not coming off, it went up your nose."

Yup. Up your nose.

Camping at Camp Pendleton

Amazing. I decided to surprise Mike and plan to take the family camping. We were going to go to San Elijo. . . even got a campsite at the last minute. But then a friend invited us to join them at Camp Pendleton. And this is where we were for the kids' first camping trip. Steaks, s'mores, doritos. It was marvelous. The kids did great sleeping in the tent. Will kept waking up and looking confused, then looking at me and I'd say "It's okay Will, remember - we're camping in a tent?" And he'd lie down and go back to sleep.

Absolutely amazing. Three miles of untouched beach. . . and maybe four other campsites.
Yeah, we are spoiled living here.

On Owl City - Fireflies

Will "I'd like to get a piano like that because then I could play all sorts of songs and my songs would be loud, loud, loud."

(Piano sounds like "pano")

I love this boy. He's cuddling on my lap and watching the video for the fifth time in a row.

"when he turns off the lights, his toys are all sleeping. . ."

awww. . .

Mike, we're staying up for you! :)

But then. . . "I'm too tired NOT to fall asleep."

And so to bed.

First Day of School - Preschool

Hello All! It's been ages since I last wrote - but I thought I'd give you the big news: Will has started preschool. He loves it: some quotes from the last couple of days; "My teacher is funny! My class is great!" "Someone lined all the diggers up along the concrete, and I got the dump truck, and the big blue shovel, and I dug a big hole, and I put the sand in the truck." "I just do my pants all by myself." "Look how I can count on my hands, and I can put my hands together like this: one, two, three, four, five, six, two, three, four, five!!!" :) "They sing funny songs there." (While looking quite skeptical.) And he drew me for the first time ever tonight, and to himself talked about how I needed arms and hands. . . and a head. It was awesome.
