February 2nd

On January 30th (4 days prior to this photo), Sissa met with a little problem. As Will said "I just ran by her and she fell over." Either that version of the story is true or something slightly more sinister happened. Regardless, we ended up in the ER (Mike having become green with sight of blood, Will constantly repeating his version of events, and Sissa surprisingly alright for what her lip looked like). On the third trip five hours later (she had twice pulled out the stitches with her teeth and tongue - and twice been swaddled and held down so they could sew her up) the plastic surgeon managed to put these Frankensteinian stitches in. She either couldn't get them out or decided that the pain and terror of the whole experience warrented leaving them in. She had them in for a week. . . then had them taken out and immediately crashed into a wall that night, spliting her lip (thank God in a different place) again! Arg. We were rather shaky as the blood flowed freely again, but stitches weren't necessary and as Will was with me in the kitchen at the time of the incident, he was not to be blamed. I'm afraid I might have passed on to Siss my genetic tendency to run into walls and trip over air. Shoot.
